An incense holder rises like a hand from its base. A candle by Blaise Mautin captures the scent of a single day in Ainokura, Toyama. A jewelry box by Taiichi Kirimoto is finished in urushi lacquer in Wajima, where the craft has been carried across generations. Southern Breeze incense is blended by Shoyeido, a house founded in Kyoto circa 1700.
